NOTICE OF 19TH ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

Dear FWA Members,

I hereby give notice for this year’s Financial Women’s Association General Meeting to commence on 26th March 2020. 

In line with Singapore’s Dorscon Code Orange situation, we have decided to run our AGM on Zoom / conference call during lunch time.  We invite all FWA members to dial in to the meeting.  Registration will be required, and details are below.

While we move from our usual traditional evening AGM, the spirit and passion has not diminished in this subdued environment.  We will continue to better ourselves in 2020 even though we had a great 2019 year.  Looking back, we did a big change on the look and feel of FWA, launch of our Female Champions initiative and created solid participation in our events and improved our corporate engagements. In recognition of our work, we have been recognised with 1165 new Linkedin followers in 2019.

Definitely we are not resting but innovating.  While we navigate our way through this new condition, we are taking this time in planning our programs and upgrades.  So please join me on 26th March to welcome the incoming 2020 Exco team who will be presenting their respective plans for you.

This year, due to the unprecedented Covid-19 situation in Singapore, the FWA will be holding its Annual General Meeting virtually, via Zoom (the meeting details are below).  There will be no physical AGM, it will only be a virtual AGM. 

There are two ways to attend the AGM via Zoom : (i) members can download the free Zoom app for use on mobile or desktop, and then join the Zoom meeting by audio or video; or (ii) members may simply dial-in from any telephone, without having to download the app. 

The Zoom meeting details, and dial-in details, for the AGM are set out below. 

Please note the AGM is open to members only.

Instructions for Ordinary and Associate Members

If any Ordinary or Associate Member wishes to attend the AGM, please register for the AGM  latest by 24 March 2020.

Then, on 26 March 2020 at 11.45am, please join the AGM meeting by Zoom or dial-in, and identify yourself for attendance-taking. As many people may be joining at the same time, we ask for your patience.

If any Ordinary Member cannot make the AGM but nonetheless would like to vote, please complete the Ordinary Members' Proxy Form (Form 1) below, and email it to contact@fwasg.org, latest by 24 March 2020.

Instructions for Corporate Members

If any Corporate Member wishes to attend into the AGM, please register for the AGM by completing the Corporate Member Voting Form (Form 2) below, emailing it to contact@fwasg.org, latest by 24 March 2020.  Please also state if you will join by Zoom or dial-in.

Then, on 26 March 2020 at 11.45am, the Corporate Member’s Representative may join the AGM by Zoom or dial-in, and identify herself or himself for attendance-taking.  As many people may be joining at the same time, we ask for your patience.

If any Corporate Member cannot make the AGM but nonetheless would like to vote, please fill in, sign and scan the Corporate Members' Proxy form (Form 3) below, and email it to contact@fwasg.org, latest by 24 March 2020.

1. To receive and adopt the annual report of the Committee.

2. To receive and adopt the accounts for the period ended 31 December 2019.

3. To retire the Committee for 2019-2020.

4. To elect office bearers and auditors for 2020-2021.

5. To consider, approve and adopt the FWA Budget for 2020.   

6. To consider and approve the appointment of the President, Vice-President, Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Treasurer and/or Assistant Treasurer as authorised signatories for any bank account maintained by the FWA with any bank, with any two authorised signatories acting jointly to provide all necessary instructions to said bank. 

7. To consider and approve the launch and sponsorship of the inaugural FWA Symposium.

8. To consider and approve the proposed amendments to the Constitution.

     9.   Any other business.   Members are free to raise any items in the agenda provided that notice is given to the Secretary via
