If I were to ask you to describe the kind of workplace that makes you happy and where you’d most like to work, chances are you might describe it as being: respectful, caring, up-beat, honest, collaborative, committed, accountable, helpful, trustworthy, ethical, and visionary.

If you actually worked in a company that had this kind of workplace, how would you feel? Perhaps you would feel valued, respected, loyal, enthusiastic, happy, energized, committed, engaged, and empowered.

Notice the energy in these feelings and how they might drive personal performance. Visualize the impact it would have on achieving results if you could harness this energy and use it to create a workplace where people are thriving, excited to come to work, and giving their 100%. This is a high performing workplace culture.

In 2015, Singapore conducted a National Workplace Survey.  The survey shows the link between happiness and culture. Unfortunately, the happiness factor for workplace culture was 42/100.  Singaporeans are “unhappy” with their workplace culture.

When leaders focus their attention and invest in transforming corporate culture to create a culture that is engaging and aligned with the values of their employees, profitability increases through increased employee satisfaction and performance. Healthy workplaces create happy employees who are less stressed, more focused and creative, and as a result more productive.

In our program we will explore and engage in conversations related to the happiness factors:

  • Top 5 Happiness Factors that are most important to survey respondents
  • Examples and experiences of the Culture Paradigm Shift in Singapore
  • How leadership impacts culture
