FWA, in collaboration with ICONIQ Capital is pleased to bring you the next FWA Exchange Session: The FinTech Movement - Staying relevant in the ever-changing world of FinTech.

The rise of FinTech has been meteoric and has taken some traditional financial institutions by surprise. Many traditional financial institutions are playing catch-up through a series of efforts to innovate, be it new products or moving into new markets. Arguably, FinTech has democratised financial services, allowing non-traditional firms to enter the space and even moving into the forefront as the key players.

Many who are working with the traditional financial institutions recognise the huge potential in the developments of FinTech but are they able to tap on these opportunities? We have invited speakers from the FinTech industry who will bring more insights to our members on this topic.

Specifically, we will discuss:

1. The role of a startup/fintech vs the role in the traditional finance industry

2. What are the skillsets required to stay relevant from the fintech industry perspective or to turn traditional financial institutions to fintech as an enabler for better financial services

3. The culture differences between fintech firms and traditional financial institutions - what do you need to adjust to embrace Fintech and what do you need to leave behind to reshape the traditional financial services world

Registered participants will receive the link for the Zoom session prior to the event.
