Synopsis

There is a science to managing people and performance. Understanding the science of human behaviour brings precision to the way people are managed especially in relation to performance. When leaders do this, they can replicate good performance, accelerate team performance effectively and produce measurable results. The aim of this session is to introduce leaders to the key concepts of Behavioural Science in relation to leading teams and accelerating performance.

Laletha Nithiyanandan (Lita) is the founder of the Behavioural Consulting Group. The Behavioural Consulting Group is a management-consulting firm that specialises in utilising Behavioural Science principles in improving performance and productivity within their client organisations. The Behavioural Consulting Group has an extensive network of consultants supporting clients in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, Korea, India, Australia and Japan. The team also provides facilitation support and coaching for leaders in the region.

Lita has more than 30 years' experience in the area of talent acquisition and management. She founded Business Trends, a successful talent solutions company in Asia. When she sold her business to Kelly Services, a Fortune 500 company, she had 17 offices in Asia. Lita held several leadership roles within Kelly Services; her last role was VP, Asia-pacific for the Kelly Outsourcing and Consulting Group.

Lita is a prominent member of the talent solutions and HR consulting profession having been a pioneer of this industry in Asia. She was instrumental in setting up the Association of Employment Services in Singapore. In addition, she introduced an industry code of ethics and worked closely with other similar organisations in Australia and U.S. She was the founder President of the Association on Employment Services.


She is often featured in media and is a frequent speaker on topics relating to business leadership, entrepreneurship and leadership impact. Lita has extended her influence through contributing to various groups over the years. Lita was on the Board of Governors with the Marketing Institute of Singapore and has been a Mentor with the Singapore Youth Council. She was President of the Singapore Professional and Business Women’s Association; She also held several executive portfolios within Women for Women and was also a member of the International Women’s Foundation of Singapore. She was an invited speaker at UNIDO’s (United Nations’ Industrial Development Organisation) forums on building a sustainable society in Bangkok, Thailand, Japan and Nepal.

Lita is a strategist and an entrepreneur at heart. She is an idea generator as she can see through complex problems to find solutions that are holistic in nature. She is also a firm advocate of doing business with a heart. She believes that leaders have a responsibility to make a positive impact on the community at large. She sees doing good business as an important enabler in changing the world for the better.
