The discussion will focus on understanding the role that corporations play in creating workplaces that promote gender equality. Successes, challenges, and best practices will be explored from companies with varying degrees of gender equality initiatives: new, emerging, and mature.

Pearly Ng, Vice President, Global Banking and Markets Regulatory Controls, Goldman Sachs

Pearly NG is Vice President at Goldman Sachs and heads the Global Banking and Markets Regulatory Controls in Asia.  Overseeing the control design of non-financial regulatory reporting obligations and providing quality assurance of regulatory submissions.  Pearly started her career in KPMG and spent the first 7 years of her career in third line risk control as an external and internal auditor.  Flowers is her hobby and for several years she was an entrepreneur running her own florist business, deriving happiness through numerous proposals and unions.

 

Pearly was selected as a Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women champion in 2021, a program that provides women entrepreneurs around the world with education, opportunities and access to capital.  She serves in the Steering Committee of Goldman Sachs South East Asia Women’s Network.  Passionate in women empowerment and diverse leadership, Pearly believes in the importance of both mentorship and sponsorship.  She is lucky to be surrounded by people who inspires, both at work and at home.  A proud member of the Financial Women’s Association (FWA).

Jacqueline Chua, FWA Singapore Membership Chair, Co-Founder & Country Chair of Inspiring Girls Singapore

Jacqueline CHUA is a multi-talented leader who excels in the non-profit sector and the banking sector over the past 28 years.  She is deeply passionate about women's empowerment and has been promoting the advancement and recognition of women in finance throughout her career with Financial Women’s Association Singapore for over 20 years.  In 2020, she furthered her passion to help young girls to pursue their dreams with confidence by leading the creation of the Singapore charity chapter of the Inspiring Girls International campaign.  Throughout her banking career, Jacqueline has held frontline leadership roles in wealth management at UBS, RBS Coutts, ABN AMRO, Citibank, and Allianz Global Investors.  She successfully led teams of accomplished private bankers covering South East Asia with her innovative business development approach.  Presently, Jacqueline is actively engaged in pursuing her Master's degree in Innovation at Singapore Management University (SMU on the SMU Impact Award scholarship, which demonstrates her dedication to making a meaningful contribution to society. 

 

Yen Leng Ong, Senior Vice President, Country Executive for South East Asia, Northern Trust

Based in Singapore, Yen Leng ONG is the Head of Southeast Asia at Northern Trust.  She oversees the business and strategic direction for asset servicing, asset management and capital markets solutions for institutional clients across the sub-region.  She is a member of the regional executive management group.

 

Yen Leng was Head of Product Management and Strategy, and Chief Administrative Officer for the Asia-Pacific region at Northern Trust prior to her current role.  She was responsible for delivering asset servicing solutions to sophisticated institutional investors across the region and leading the regional business strategic planning and execution.

 

Before joining Northern Trust, Yen Leng worked as a regional business leader for a global card payment company in Singapore.  She started her career with a global accounting and consulting firm and spent most of her time in the United Kingdom with various industries including technology, government and financial services.

 

Sandra Lim, Managing Director, Kantar Public

As Managing Director, Sandra setup Kantar Public Singapore and oversees Southeast Asia work. With a background in policy / social research and advisory, Sandra has been involved in behavioural communications, public engagement, and policy development, evaluation and data analytics work for over two decades.

 

She has considerable data and insight advisory experience within both public and private sectors in Singapore and across the Asia-Pacific region, presenting and facilitating workshops and interviews with C-suite levels, as well as with community groups. She leads most of Kantar Public Singapore’s public engagement work and is the lead facilitator for sessions where senior leadership and/or Ministers are involved. She is a key contributor to all public work in Singapore, focusing on connecting the dots across work we have delivered within and across agencies. Clients she has worked extensively with include MCCY, MND, MSF, CPF, ECDA, HDB, NAC, PHC, SKM, SG Pools, and WSG.

 

Sandra actively contributes to the market research industry, previously serving as President of the Market Research Society Singapore (MRSS) in 2018-19 and as a member of the steering committee, and now as a trainer for most MRSS courses. She developed the Republic Polytechnic-Market Research Society Singapore Advanced Certificate in Market Research programme and teaches as an Adjunct Lecturer on market research. In addition, Sandra co-facilitates in Kantar Public’s executive education programmes Communications in Public Policy and Mastering Behaviour Change for a Changing World, delivered in partnership with the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy (LKYSPP). She often features as a guest speaker and on panel discussions to share her knowledge and experience in the research consulting area.

 

Outside of work, Sandra contributes back to society as a grassroots volunteer to help build and bridge communities as one nation and advocates on gender equality with Singapore Council Women’s Organisation (SCWO).

We understand that with busy schedules, there may be times when you cannot make an event after you have registered for it. In the event that you cannot make an event, we appreciate that you use our new tool now available to cancel the event. Cancellation is allowed up to 2 days ahead of the event date. To do so, please log in to the FWA website, under “My Account”, select “My Events”, you can cancel the event registration under the “Cancel registration” column. For members that no-show for 3 consecutive events, we regret to inform that you will be barred from attending any FWA events for the next 3 months.
