As we celebrate FWA’s 20th anniversary in 2021, we are pleased to bring you FWA’s inaugural Symposium, a hybrid event that gathers FWA Champions in a single forum. Our Symposium has been several years in the making, delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. This year, we decided to wait no further and celebrate our 20th anniversary with the people that matter most to us and has made FWA what it is today – our members, our corporate partners, our Champions and most importantly, our volunteers.

Whilst the threat from the Covid-19 pandemic continues to hang over us, opportunities present themselves too. These include the elevation of social issues to the fore such as workplace health and wellness, the illumination of workplace policies and practices and areas for improvement e.g. to support flexible working, the need to share parental burdens with home-based learning, and many more.

We will have more than 70 FWA Champions present at the event! Our Champions will share their thoughts and solutioning on these issues and others in our inaugural Symposium. Through a mix of panel discussions, breakout sessions, networking opportunities and Ted-talk style sharing, the Symposium will cover a comprehensive range of topics, including:

  • Gender diversity as a business case
  • Accelerating gender inclusion
  • Gender pay equity
  • Workplace health & wellness
  • Retirement adequacy of women
  • Role models and debunking traditional gender roles
  • Mentors & sponsors
  • Women in ESG
  • Women in STEM
  • Access to capital for women

Our members get an exclusive opportunity to engage our Champions during the Symposium, network, and participate in discussions with fellow FWA members.
