An alternative investment is a financial asset that does not fall into one of the conventional equity/income/cash categories. Some examples of alternative investments include private equity or venture capital, hedge funds, real estate, private credit, commodities, and tangible assets. Most alternative investment assets are held by institutional investors or accredited, high-net-worth individuals because of their complex nature and degree of risk.

As with many sectors that face gender imbalance in the workforce, the alternative investment industry is no different and women remain underrepresented.

Join us at our next session of FWA exchange – Alternative Investments : Fixing the Gender Gap with Kirsten Voss, Senior Managing Director of Värde Partners and Joanne Murphy, Managing Director of CAIA Association who will be sharing ideas on:

  • What are some of the developments and outlook for the alternative investment space?
  • How do we close the gender gap in alternative investments?
  • What initiatives help women advance in the alternative investment sector?
  • How are alternative investment firms taking meaningful steps to improve diversity?

Registered participants will receive the link for the Zoom session prior to the event.
