About Us

The Financial Women’s Association Singapore drives professionalism in the financial sector, with special emphasis on the role of women and the development of future leaders.

Financial Women's Association (FWA) Singapore was founded in 2001 by Tan Su Shan and a group of like-minded women from banking, seeking to develop a community that will develop and encourage females in the industry.

Borne out of meeting room huddles, FWA Singapore has grown to become one of the most prominent local associations that champion the next generation of women workforce. The association has approximately 30 financial corporate members and 200 individual members. The scope of activities has also expanded from “bring your own lunch” events to include networking events, an annual mentoring programme by industry leaders, as well as social impact activities that drive education, advancement and recognition of women in finance and beyond.

The core mission of FWA Singapore is to empower women, harness community support and accelerate social change.
