He provides in-depth analysis on the Japanese economy from various perspecti ves including monetary and fiscal policies\, industrial structure and poli tics. Mr. Kinoshita’s viewpoints are truly Pan-Asian\, acquired through his 15 years of experience in economic research in Asia. Prior to his curr ent assignment\, he covered Asian economies for 15 years including China\, India\, Hong Kong\, Taiwan\, Korea and ASEAN\, having been stationed in S ingapore for five years and Hong Kong for nearly six years. He utilizes hi s extensive communication network with Asian central banks and other autho rities. Known for his accurate economic forecasts for Asia\, in early 2008 he correctly forecast 2009’s sharp deceleration of Asian economies. In October 2009\, he published his report comparing Japan in the 1980s bubble period with China today\, in which he predicted asset price inflation in China in the medium term as China moves towards RMB internationalization a nd financial liberalization. His views are frequently aired by various TV programs and newspapers. Mr. Kinoshita received his Masters degree in Econ omics from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Economics degree from Kyoto University. He also engaged in political analysis when he was at th e Washington\, D.C.\, office of Nomura Research Institute America during 1 990-1993 and 1996-1997.
