In today’s high stress world however\, more and more emphasis has to be put on emotional wellness\, particularly in women\, whose roles both at home and at work us ually take its toll – not to mention\, compounded by societal expectatio ns. Women worldwide have almost twice the rates of anxiety and depression as men\, and women in Singapore are no exception. Find out from Dr. Cornel ia Chee the possible reasons why women’s emotional health are an issue\, and more importantly\, how to recognise it in your own life and among you r peers. Key Note Speaker: Dr. Cornelia Chee is a senior consultant psychiatrist practicing in adult general psychiatry at the National University Hospita l. Cornelia did her fellowship in Women's Mental Health in Toronto and set up the Women’s Emotional Health Service at NUH in 2007 for which she ha s been the programme director for the past 8 years. The service caters to pregnant and post-natal women with mental health issues\, and women's canc ers\, but has recently expanded to peri-menopausal women and those with fe rtility issues as well.
