FWA would like to thank Arbedeen Standard Investments for the venue and lunch
Financial independence is an important aspect of a woman’s life.
Yet, we often hear, even amongst our peers and women in finance, “I wished I had started my financial planning earlier!”
Why is that so? Perhaps, for many women, with the many different roles they take on throughout their life course and for many different reasons, women are distracted and not as focused on working towards financial independence. There was always something more important.
Working towards Financial readiness should not be ignored.
Attaining financial freedom is a process involving, as with many things in life, setting an aim and working towards achieving it. It is important for women to take charge of their finances.
What does Financial Freedom mean to you? How can you work towards your goal?
The speaker for the session, Ms Susana Concordo Harding, Senior Director at the International Longevity Centre at the Tsao Foundation will present the results of the study that was conducted to understand the financial readiness among women at different life stages and the impact of education and age on their financial independence, risk appetite, and wealth growth strategies.
This session seeks to address:
- How financially ready are the different profiles of women?
- What are the necessary steps to take towards financial freedom?
- How can we engage ourselves and other women in meaningful ways based on their profiles and their needs?
- What will motivate me to reach out and help myself and other women to be financially independent?
