One of the most recognizable local athletes around, Theresa Goh doesn't need much introduction: she's a 2016 Rio Paralympics bronze medalist, she consistently bag’s gold medals from each edition of the ASEAN Para Games (APG), she's Singapore's first female Paralympic swimmer, and she frequently lends her voice to social causes that she feels strongly for. Under the gaze of the public eye since she clinched the “Best Female Athlete” at the inaugural ASEAN Para Games in 2001, she has since gone from milestone to milestone in her swimming career, clinching five gold medals and setting two Games Records -She wheeled her way to swimming.

Theresa Goh is a Paralympic Swimmer from Singapore. She has been representing her country in various international competitions for the past 18 years. Theresa was the first female Singaporean swimmer to qualify for the Paralympics in 2004. A former world record holder in the 50m and 200m Breaststroke SB4 category, she recently clinched a bronze medal in the 100m breaststroke SB4 category, at the Rio Paralympics on her 4th Paralympic Games outing. She was one of the ambassadors of Pink Dot 2017 and is trying to speak up more for LGBTQ rights especially in Singapore. A pioneer in the disability sports scene in Singapore, Theresa identifies as a queer athlete with disability and strongly believes in the importance of seeing the ability in a person without erasing their disability.
